Screenshot round-trip under 300 ms. We measure it.
A slow screen makes you grab the mouse. Speed is how watching stays calm.

If the live screen lags, you stop trusting it. You take over “just to check.” That is how a watch session turns into you doing the work.
We log latency_ms on every Action. A screenshot should come back in under 300 milliseconds. Click to the next screenshot should land under 500.
Numbers on the card, not a vibe
Open a computer. The status line shows ready, busy, or stopped. The latency figure sits next to it in tabular numbers, so a 40 and a 400 do not look the same.
If that number climbs and stays high, the computer is the problem. Restart it from the menu. Do not keep clicking through a dead screen.
Why the number exists
Agents loop. They screenshot, click, screenshot again. A 2-second screen turns a 20-step job into a minute of waiting. That is when people yank the cursor.
Keep the loop fast and watching feels like standing behind someone who can type. You only sit down when they turn around and ask.
